Just returned from 7 days at Our Lucaya. We stayed at the Westin and had a breathtaking oceanview suite. We had a double balcony, so our entire wall of the suite was nothing but ocean! The front desk was EXTREMELY rude to us upon check-in. They were not going to give us our reserved suite until 3 hours and 3 phone calls back home(we had to use the pay phone, they refused to let me use theirs) to the travel agency resulted in us finally getting what we had reserved and prepaid for months before. After a nasty frustrating first day, we proceded to enjoy our stay. The maid service was great, towels plentiful, in room and at pool. Pools were really nice. Stayed most of the time at the Westin pool. The Shearton pool was very noisy. We did go there one day so my daughter could try out the waterslide. The rest of the staff always ready with a good morning or hello. Our suite included the use of The Westin Beach Club on the 10th floor. We had free breakfast and free appetizers and soft drinks in the evening. Saved a lot of $.We ate at Willy's Broadleaf one evening for the seafood buffet. Wonderful.

All of our other meals were at the marketplace across the road. Did the dolpins encounter, had very little time with the dolphins in the water. $210.00 for my husband, daughter and myself. Not worth it. Maybe the swimming with the dolphins is much better. Went on the Bahama Mama dinner cruise. Food not too good. The party afterwards great! Please save your money and do not go to the Bonfire on the Beach party. Rip off .Rented wave runners, great fun! Use lots and lots of sunscreen. To sum up, very pretty resort, relaxing and clean. My 11 year old daughter loved it, my husband found the night life lacking and I just was happy not doing laundry and having to cook dinner! Came home very relaxed and ready to start the school year. Probally won't go back, we like to try new places and try as I might I can't forget the rude way we were welcomed on our first day. I would still recommend it for it's beauty.

Where do I start? My husband and I were looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation and that is exactly what we got. The resort is lovely, the rooms are gorgeous and the people very friendly. I didn't have one bad experience here. We actually booked the Sheraton but they didn't have a king size bed immediately available so we upgraded. That was our best move. Yes, the food is expensive, but delicious. We had been to Nassau but this is much better. The Caribbean can be expensive but you are getting a truly memorable vacation. Churchill's was fabulous! If you are looking for a quiet pool, the Lighthouse Pointe pool is beautiful and relaxing. There could be more choices on the poolside lunch menu. It will be nice when a few shops and the casino open. All in all, this was a fabulous resort which my husband and I will visit again. Hopefully soon!

we returned on july 3rd from a 6 night stay at the westin our lucaya and it was just wonderful! had a ocean front deluxe suite in breakers cay, the room was great and so was the service. yes, things are done much slower there but you have to remember that you are in the bahamas and it was very refreshing to not be in any hurry while on vacation. very large and nice beach towels, nice lounge chairs at pools and ocean. we have no complaints whatsoever and would like to return!!!
