Comfort Suites Paradise Island
I have stayed at the Comfort Suites many times. I just love staying there. It is perfect in every way. Beautiful bright rooms, new carpeting, lovely grounds with pretty flowers and tropical trees along the pathways. Great pool with swim-up bar. Nice little breakfast FREE in morning - outdoor shaded dining area. Minibars in room . . . help yourself to soda pop, candy bars, chips, even little bottles of liquor. On the honor system - Just mark down on a pad of paper what you took and they replace it the next day. Then later, it is simply added on to your total room charge. The walk to Atlantis is easy and close. Bring comfortable walking shoes because Atlantis is so huge! The Comfort Suites check in was fast and efficient. The ladies who work the front desk are very sweet. I liked the way they lit the hallways with pretty lights which were in the shape of a shell. The rooms have a small sofa and coffee table sitting area and a little round table with two chairs. The furniture was all the blonde wood which is what I like because it reminds me of Florida and the tropics. If you want to try and get a better deal, ask for the Corporate Rate or book through ... and bring up the rate under all the different options. Choice Hotels usually lists Triple A rate, Senior Citizen rate, Business rate, Government/Military rate (I have used this one at many Choice Hotels simply because I work at a community college and it's considered a county/government job). I think you will be happy with the Comfort Suites. ENJOY!!
Since Atlantis is the most fantastic resort on this planet... I would recommend staying at the Comfort Suites (if you can't afford Atlantis). There was nothing wrong with it, it's just not a fancy hotel. The rooms are not suites however, just rooms, with an area for the couch. We ended up getting a second room adjoining for more space. (Two older kids.) As I said, Atlantis is fantastic, and not to be missed... so sleep at the Comfort Suites and spend all your days and evenings at Atlantis! By the way, the continental breakfast is not so great, I'd recommend skipping that and getting the buffet at Atlantis, which is well worth the $. (You can skip lunch after that breakfast!)
This hotel has everything you need. It is clean, roomy, has a bright tastefully decorated room, which looked exactly like what they showed in the brochure. I loved the sofa sitting area and the little round table and chairs. All of the furniture is done up in really pretty blonde wood which happens to be what I like. The bathroom was clean, the halls were clean with nice warm lights in the shape of a shell outside each door. The free breakfast was fine (perfect to get up and going in the morning). The pool was lovely as were the grounds. The location was perfect and right across the street from Atlantis. One thing I enjoyed was people watching while having my complimentary breakfast. You would see all of the employees walking down the sidewalk nearby to head over to Atlantis. Different uniforms that they wear made this so cool. Some in bright festive tropical shirts all dressed alike, other groups coming down in a different colored bright festive outfit. Then my favorite would be when you'd see all the maids coming with their pretty traditional aqua dress complete with coral apron and trim. They all looked so nice! This was fun for me watching all these employees looking so very nice walking to work in the mornings. I have checked around and the Comfort Suites is the ONLY hotel on Paradise Island that will give you a pass to use all the facilities at Atlantis for free. That means you and your entire family can use the waterslides, all 11 pools, the beach and you will have a card showing that you are staying at Comfort Suites when any security guards do their spot checks. AND BELIEVE ME YOU WILL BE STOPPED - ATLANTIS HAS VERY TIGHT SECURITY. I stayed at Dillet's Guest House so that I could see the Cable Beach side of the island my last trip and I wanted to go walk around Atlantis. Security stopped me immediately and I paid $ 25. to walk around Atlantis and that did not include use of pools just walking around!! So this deal Comfort Suites has made with Atlantis is a blessing and you ligitimately will have the right to use ALL FACILITIES at Atlantis every day of your trip. You'll love the Comfort Suites. It is a lovely little hotel. You may be able to get a price reduction if you ask for the Corporate Rate. This is what I did. Don't hesitate - call. You'll love it!!! |
