Bay View Village
Overall, Bay View Village was a nice place to stay. My husband, our 14 month old, my mother and I stayed in a one bedroom suite for 5 nights. Here are my observations about the small hotel in Nassau:Good Points:Private, Quiet, Beautiful surroundings, Friendly, professional staff. Security was very good. The best part about our stay was that we had the pool to ourselves every day! It was wonderful, especially since we have a small child. The full service kitchen came in handy because we never had to eat out for breakfast. Again, those of you with small children could appreciate this. Bad Points:Air conditioning unit in our suite was not working properly. It got extremely hot at times. We never bothered to say anything, though. I don't know if all the units are like that or not.Although Bay View Village is within walking distance of all the main attractions on the island, there are no sidewalks leading you to them. This was a big minus with our baby in the stroller. There is no workout facility. I went over to the Holiday Inn Sunspree to use their average facility. They made me pay $10 one day and then didn't charge me the next day. Fees are probably negotiable if you talk to the manager. |
